AntMatcher project develops tools for automatic recognition of ants. Currently, there is code available for:
- preprocessing ant head photographs into a standardized form so they can be used as training data for automatic tools
- building a nearest-centroid classifier
- running the classifier on a web page - an example runs in the AntMatcher page.
We created AntMatcher with support from BCH Connecting Scientists 2012 initiative.
